Poppy printable

Step-by-Step Guide

First, download the Poppy Printable.

Step 1: Prepare the Paper Plates

Start by cutting the paper plates into a poppy flower shape. Cut the plate into four wavy lobes to achieve the iconic poppy silhouette, leaving a small, circular centre intact. This centre will serve as the base for attaching the printables.

Step 2: Paint the Poppies

Using red paint and paintbrushes, paint the paper plate poppies.

Step 3: Add the Printables

Once the paint has dried, it’s time to add the special touch – the free poppy printable. Download and print the poppy designs from our website. Cut out the circular printable with the poppy’s centre design and attach it to the small circular base at the centre of the paper plate using glue or adhesive tape. This step beautifully encapsulates the essence of the poppy flower.

Step 4: Reflect and Share

As you and your child create these paper plate poppies, you can discuss the significance of Remembrance Day and the heroes it honours. Use this time to share stories, discuss history, and reflect on the sacrifices made by servicemen and women.
