Let’s Get Crafty!

Now that we have everything we need, it’s time to unleash your creative superpowers. Follow these steps to make your very own superhero mask:

Step 1: Design Your Hero Identity. Think about the kind of superhero you want to be. Are you a speedy runner, a nature protector, or maybe a helpful friend? Imagine your superhero’s name and special powers – this will help you decide how to decorate your mask!

Step 2: Create Your Mask Shape. You can choose to print out the free printable on card stock or take a sheet of paper/foam and carefully cut out another cool shape to make your superhero mask. You can make it round, pointy, or even zigzag – the choice is yours! And if you are unsure, you can ask a grown-up to help you draw the shape first.

Step 3: Add Splashes of Colour Grab your markers, crayons, or coloured pencils and let your creativity run wild! Colour your mask to match your superhero’s style. Do you want bold, bright colours, or mysterious and dark shades? It’s your mask, so you get to decide!

Step 4: Decorate Like a Pro Now it’s time to make your mask extra special. Use stickers, glitter, or any decorations you like to make your superhero mask truly unique. You can add stars, hearts, lightning bolts, or symbols representing your superhero’s powers.

Step 5: Attach the Elastic Bands. Carefully make small holes on each side of your mask. Ask a grown-up for help with this part. Then, attach the elastic bands or strings to the holes. This will help your mask stay on your face while you’re out, saving the day! Or if you don’t have ribbon or string, you can also glue a paddle pop stick to help you hold your mask to your face.

Step 6: Wear Your Hero Mask with Pride! Put on your superhero mask and look in the mirror – you’re now a fully-fledged superhero! Feel the power and bravery.

With your awesome superhero mask, you're ready to take on any adventure that comes your way. Just like the heroes in Superhero Kids, When Dad's Deploy, you've got what it takes to be courageous and strong
